January 2007

Happy New Year !! 2007 is starting off great! I have made a few updates and more to come. I have found a bit of time to give www.clawws.org webpage a new look, it is also still being updated and working on a few other webpage updates. Getting closer to uploading some new pictures and making some collage pictures for the gallery. I have been busy with the PolyTrak group with newsletters and such. Doing the new year house cleaning. I also added some jigsaws on the main page.

December 2006

It has been a fun and crazy last couple of months. It feels great to laugh and be happy, sometimes you don't realize the cloud that invades your life it starts by being a big fluffy pretty cloud and turns into a dark nasty cloud. All of the cats have there winter coats in and look huge! I will be adding a page on Dr. Meurs Pullman Washington Lab and the mistakes they have made along with documentation. I have just started to update the webpage and make changes for 2007 and taking back my name again Chandler!! Keep checking back for the pictures of our Christmas Light display and more art work coming soon!

September 12, 2006

It has been a busy summer and I have not had much of a chance to update the pages. I added Audie's HCM certificate to his page. He is "Officially" Hetero Positive. The lab must have mishandled his first blood test that came back negative. Audie is  semi - retirement I will neuter him at a later date when more information is available on this gene mutation.

I am adding kitten pictures to the nursery page. There HCM testing was done and sent in end of last week so we will find out soon.

Coming up in October we will have echos done on Audie, Cami, Jinxy, Gypsy, Rhiannon and Robert.

Keep posted for more news to come!

July 19, 2006

Updated the Polydactyl webpage with some more information and updating each cats webpage with a copy of the HCM Pdf file link.

July 16, 2006

I received the test results back on Robert Redford, Gypsy, Rhiannon and 3 other household pets, they were all negative.

I also sent in a swab from Audie under PawPaws it came back Positive Hetero. I still plan on sending in a swab under his name along with the blood sample. I will call UC Davis tomorrow to see if they have the results on his Chimera test. His retest under his name will be sent in with his offspring samples as soon as they can safely be done.

With the above results in there is only one pet cat that has not been tested as he is a DLH and I do not believe he is part of MC even though he looks possible like one, I believe from the area he came from he comes from Old Persian lines. He was neutered before he ever came to me he will be about 15 years old this year. That leaves me with only one possible hetero cat Audie P, we will have to see what sort of offspring he produces as a Chimera he could produce all negative offspring. It will be interesting to find out.

July 14, 2006

I received my TICA papers this week and am officially registered. The kittens are growing and will get some new pictures up very soon. I also corrected a couple of kittens sexes. Cougar is a Male and Jato is a girl.

June 30, 2006

Swabs on the new Prince and Princess were taken and will be sent in for HCM DNA testing. Also took samples of the remaining pets in the house except for offspring from Bently & Crystal as they are both negative. I fixed a few buttons on pages that were mislabeled or in the wrong spot. The kittens are growing and learning to walk on all fours!

June 29, 2006

Jinxy had a c-section on June 26th. She has one little shaded silver baby and both are doing well. Cami and Jinxy are sharing kittens and mom duty. I think Cami is enjoying room service as we try and besure she drinks enough water we give her syringes of water, she seems to think this is a great way to drink water and demands it now. Both litters are gaining weight and doing very well. Will up date some some pictures soon.

June 20, 2006

I have updated some webpage and added a new Color section I will be working on it some more. It is only available on the broad band right now, soon it will be on the Dial Up friendly pages. The color descriptions are for CFA colors and I will be adding what those colors compare to TICA color guides soon.

Audie P had his blood drawn yesterday to be sent to UC Davis for a DNA test to see if he is a Chimera. I will also be working on adoption information and more very soon.

We also made a decision to spay Snoo, it does not have anything to do with health reasons but personal reasons, she is my husbands special girl the decision was made he did want to her to have babies. Her picture is removed from the webpage but there are pictures in the gallery which also includes all of the cats in the household, including our two domestic long hairs, retirees and special kittens we decided to keep.

June 16, 2006

We have new arrivals to our cattery Marala's Robert Redford, Marala's Rhiannon, & Marala's Gypsy. They arrived safe and sound, you can see pictures of them on Our Prince's and Our Queen's Page. More will be coming soon we are pretty busy around here !!

June 15, 2006

Cami delivered her litter of kittens pictures will be coming soon check the nursery page soon! All kittens will be tested for HCM DNA test as Audie P has not be cleared up yet, regardless of what his status turns out to be, I have an interested list going and all kittens are under observation right now.

June 11, 2006

We are on a count down of days until we kittens. Cami's is due this week and Jinxy next week. I updated the nursery section with some current pictures of the expectant mothers they said I wouldn't get any sleep if I posted the pictures of how big they have gotten so I choose some concealed pictures. They have both gained a good deal of weight they are both over 14 pounds now up from about 10.5lbs average for them. Cami is carrying a full load of kittens and Jinxy is at half a load and seems to have larger kittens due. Of course the extra weight could be from extra toes! I am still working on my color pages. Audie P is weighing in at around 17lbs he is 11 months old in two days and might be a daddy by then. He is not happy with me right now as he is being overly feisty and terrorizing the moms to be and the geriatric/retiree's of the house. So he is lonesome right now. He will be moving to the temporary stud quarters this week and for company he will have one of the German Shepherds that reside here (she makes the moms nervous too). Audie and Heidi get along well he likes to keep her on her toes, and she grooms him.

So Look back soon! for pictures of new borns along with more exciting news! We may turn the News section into a blog.

June 5, 2006

Lots of news. I have changed some pages and added a Poly Breeders Listing, if you would like to be listed there please let me know, thanks to Celesta of Ormedons Maine Coons for the inspiration the more the Polys information on them the better. There will be more updates including a color section I am working on.

Last week was interesting with UpperValley Audie P. I had sent in the swab which took longer than the others on the HCM DNA test I had received the results of Hetero Positive and decided to retest as the results were so long in coming after the other 7 sent in at that same time. I received his blood HCM DNA test results as Negative. Now we get to re-test him over again. I am not sure which test to believe I am shocked with the results. As much as I want to believe the blood test I feel the swab might be right. Audie was named after Audie Murphy the actor and war hero and he is earning the Murphy name as in Murphy's Law.

Unfortunately Dr. Meur's mother has passed away and she will be away for a while with her family which is very understandable. My thoughts are with her and her family at this time.

In the mitts of this Cami and Jinxy are expecting litters with Audie as the father. Cami is due around June 15th and is gaining nicely. She has had an ultra sound done around day 28 and x-ray last Friday she is carrying a full load of 7 or 8 kittens. Jinxy is 5 or 6 days behind her and has now surpassed Cami in weight gaining. She will be x-rayed this week to see how many we have due there. I will update the nursery page. I will not be taking deposits or reserving kittens until the kittens test results on HCM DNA have been done and come back. (Even if Audie is declared Negative)

I am trying to fit in some more time for the Polydactyl Heritage page and have sent on various Emails to breeders for information or pictures of the Polys we have traced so far.

May 10, 2006

I have been working on Polydactyl Heritage and have one cat Gray Luv Perry who was a foundation Poly in the early 1970s. They all came back Normal so we are a SMA Free Cattery, web pages have been updated and Certificates are on the way so they will be on file. March 16, 2006

New picture of Audie P is up and I am working on the Health and Mercantile pages, along with Polydactyl page. I am including a list of books I own on Feline health and Canine for that matter in the Mercantile page. You will be able to order those books directly from the page and also will be adding pictures of our cats that are available on various items for sale. These pictures are not cutouts and airbrushed they are actual pictures taken by us, only resized and cropped to fit the specs for the items. We have in the works a DVD to keep your cats and kittens entertained, complete with actual bird noises and our cats chirping, not sure of the release date yet we will keep you updated.

March 10, 2006

Tests are mailed in. Also mailed all of our pedigrees to Pawpeds.com so soon we will have pedigrees online.

March 8, 2006

We just got thru testing 6 cats for HCM and 3 cats for SMA the DNA swab test, so far I have one bite and4 scratches, Willie has some scratches, as does our ottoman. We have 2 to go. We are testing Crystal & Bently (HCM & SMA) parents to Jinxy, Cami, Cheeky, and Snoo, (HCM) Also being tested is Audie P (HCM & SMA) and my first Maine who is 10 years old Hunter she is a pet never been bred  decided to test her for HCM also, as our other 5 speuters are related to Crystal (cousins). Will be mailing them out tomorrow. We have Hunter and Bently left to do today. Hopefully we will survive Hunter if not you know what happened to us. Hunter is amazing sometimes she was the easiest and least resistant of all.

Also adding Dial up friendly pages for each of our girls it will have one small picture of them instead of the collage of pictures.

March 6, 2006

Making dialup friendly option for the webpage. Our cat room is now done and the girls have moved in already. We still have some work to do, and then the stud room is next.

February 27, 2006

Gallery Pages are now up! Working on the Link page next. Audie P weighs in at 13.50 lbs at 7-1/2 months and Stoli is 8.40lbs at 7months.

The Queen page is up as is the Prince page. I will be adding test dates and such soon.

February 25, 2006

I am still updating WebPages it is still a slow process. We have the HCM DNA test kits, the SMA test kits and will be testing cats in the next week.

We almost have our Enclosed Cat Porch done more of a Sun Room. The linoleum was laid today and we will be replacing carpet on cat trees and doing some cat furniture decorating this week.  We have revised our plan right now and will be letting the 4 girls and some our speutered cats back with them and keeping the Prince (Audie P) and his friend stay in the main part of the house for a while. We still have not started on the stud room it will be after the porch is finished. The last few days the girls and there daddy have been spending time in the motor home waiting for the porch to be done. We noticed they do not seem to be as territorial this way so we may keep the division of cats with the new porch.

January 25, 2006

We are updating the WebPages daily so bare with us. We are also getting the stud room ready and the enclosed cat porch will be done soon too! Audi P is weighing in at 11.75 lbs. Stoli is considering the proposition of being a teaser tom.
